Exercise dogs only before 9am or after 7pm during hot weather
Never leave dogs in parked cars even briefly on warm days
Know the early signs: excessive panting, drooling, stumbling, bright red gums
Cool an overheated dog immediately with room-temperature water and seek emergency veterinary care
