Fancy varieties bred for extreme body shapes suffer from organ compression, swim bladder disorders, and eye problems. The gap between popular perception of goldfish as disposable novelties and the scientific evidence of their capabilities is a major welfare challenge.

Provide a properly filtered, cycled aquarium of at least 60 litres for a single goldfish
