Welfare Considerations

Spider morph ball pythons suffer from pervasive neurological wobble syndrome — a welfare problem recognised by herpetological societies but still widespread in commercial breeding. Minimum enclosure sizes recommended by welfare organisations far exceed those used in most commercial settings. Thermal gradients, humidity, hides and enrichment are frequently inadequate.
