Welfare Considerations

Even minor biting can create wounds that attract further attacks. The practice of tail docking addresses symptoms rather than causes, and itself causes pain and phantom limb sensations.

Support legislation requiring enrichment for all farmed pigs
Choose pork with higher-welfare certification (RSPCA Assured, Soil Association)
Urge supermarkets to source only from docking-free systems
