Obese cats experience reduced mobility, chronic joint pain, difficulty grooming, and increased disease burden. They often cannot perform natural feline behaviours like jumping or playing. Welfare is significantly compromised. Prevention through measured feeding, enrichment and regular weigh-ins is far easier than weight loss treatment.
