This session added content on topics from Yellowstone bison management to reef shark welfare, from livestock transport to companion parrot cognitive needs. The breadth of coverage reflects the genuine breadth of animal welfare challenges facing the world today. No issue affecting animal suffering is too small to deserve evidence-based examination, and no species too obscure to deserve a page that explains what it needs and how humans can help. This is the ongoing work of maximizing animal welfare at the scale that matters.
