Welfare Considerations

Without a wheel, this motivation cannot be expressed and welfare suffers severely through obesity, muscle atrophy, and the development of stereotypic behaviours. A correctly sized, smooth solid-surface wheel is one of the most welfare-critical purchases a hamster owner can make.
