Fur farm foxes endure extreme suffering: tiny wire cages, inability to dig or roam, stress-induced stereotypies, and gas-chamber killing. Even mange-afflicted urban foxes who can be treated face significant suffering if untreated. The exotic pet fox trade creates animals poorly adapted to either wild or domestic environments.
