Turkeys with severe FPD spend less time at feeders and drinkers — reducing both welfare and production performance. The progression from wet litter to clinical FPD takes 2-4 weeks, providing a management window for intervention: regular litter assessment and targeted drying of wet patches can prevent severe lesions.
