What You Can Do

Never leave a dog in a vehicle in warm weather, even for minutes.
Exercise dogs in early morning or late evening during hot weather to avoid peak heat.
Learn heat stroke first aid: remove from heat, apply cool water to body, and transport to vet immediately.
Provide constant shade and fresh water access for any dogs kept outdoors.
Recognise brachycephalic breed dogs as extremely high risk and take additional precautions in warm conditions.
