Welfare-focused management centers on reducing allergen load: soaking hay for 30+ minutes before feeding, using dust-free bedding such as cardboard or paper, maximizing time at pasture in clean air, and ensuring stable ventilation. Medical treatment provides important relief but should be complementary to environmental management, not a substitute for it.
