As climate change intensifies, what were previously unusual heat events are becoming regular summer conditions that require systematic mitigation infrastructure rather than occasional emergency responses. Cattle, pigs, and poultry are all significantly affected by heat above their thermoneutral zones. Investment in shade structures, evaporative cooling, and adequate drinking water provision is both a welfare obligation and an economic necessity.
