Welfare Considerations

One hundred thousand, four hundred pages. The number grows, and the growth matters - not as a number, but as a library. A library where someone searching 'do fish feel pain' finds evidence and compassion. Where a farmer wondering about pig enrichment finds practical science. Where a policy student researching animal welfare legislation finds the history of how societies have chosen, gradually and unevenly, to extend moral concern. Every page is a promise: that the information needed to make better decisions for animals exists, is accessible, and is offered without agenda beyond the reduction of suffering. The animals for whom these pages are written cannot know about them. The humans who read them can act. That is the entire purpose - and it is enough.
