Ear mite infestation causes significant otitis externa in cats, particularly in young animals and in multi-cat or outdoor environments.
Cats with untreated ear mites experience persistent intense pruritus that disrupts sleep, feeding, and normal behavior. Secondary complications including haematomas cause additional welfare compromise that is entirely preventable.
