Immune-mediated haemolytic anaemia (IMHA) is a life-threatening condition - rapid recognition and aggressive treatment significantly improve survival and welfare.
IMHA causes acute and severe suffering from anaemia, often worsened by immune activation. Rapid diagnosis, supportive blood transfusion, and appropriate immunosuppressive therapy give individual dogs the best chance of survival with welfare maintained.
