Overview of aquatic warbler welfare as a critically endangered passage migrant through the UK.
Aquatic warbler welfare in the UK context is primarily about supporting small numbers of passage birds while contributing to international conservation of a critically endangered species. UK ringing of passage birds provides valuable data on condition, timing, and survival. Conservation of their Eastern European breeding grounds and appropriate wetland management on migration routes are the primary welfare actions. UK passage wetland management provides quality habitat during the critical southward autumn migration.
