The noctule bat is one of the UK's largest bats, with welfare dependent on old trees for roost sites and open habitats for hunting.
Individual noctule welfare depends on old trees with appropriate cavities for roost sites and open farmland, parkland, and water surfaces for hunting. Woodland management that retains old trees directly supports noctule welfare.
