Welfare Considerations

Elbow dysplasia causes chronic joint pain that significantly impairs welfare in affected young dogs. Welfare-informed management uses CT scanning for accurate lesion diagnosis, surgical intervention at the appropriate stage, and lifelong weight management and physiotherapy to maintain joint welfare.
