Welfare Significance

What You Can Do

Vaccinate dogs that regularly visit kennels, dog shows, or dog parks against kennel cough
Isolate dogs showing coughing from other dogs immediately
Seek veterinary assessment for puppies, elderly dogs, or any dog showing rapid deterioration
Use a harness rather than collar during recovery to reduce tracheal irritation
