What You Can Do

Apply window alert decals in a grid pattern with less than 10cm spacing to deter birds from glass
If a sparrowhawk strikes a window, place it in a ventilated box in a quiet, dark location for 2 hours minimum before release
Move bird feeders either closer than 1 metre to windows (where birds cannot build up fatal speed) or more than 3 metres away
Contact a local wildlife rehabilitator if a bird does not recover full alertness and coordination within 2 hours
